Details of the Incident
On Saturday, Sarkisian did not participate in the halftime interview with ESPN due to technical difficulties. He then approached Row after the game, but instead of answering questions, he excitedly shouted and walked away before responding. Manning told Inside Texas reporter Evan Witty at a press conference that he had seen the AI video of Sarkisian hitting Row and expressed his laughter about it.

Manning's Apology
The video was shared by Witty on Monday and quickly met with negative reactions. Manning apologized on Tuesday in an Instagram story, stating, "I made an inappropriate comment about the AI video during yesterday's press conference. There is nothing funny about this." He also added that he understands his words and actions have been hurtful to many and he apologizes for that.
Manning specifically apologized to Holly Row, saying, "I have a lot of respect for her and I appreciate her for being gracious to me in that moment. I need to do better and think more in the future."
He also noted that Witty, who initially described Manning's response as "golden," apologized on Monday, saying, "I sincerely apologize for how I decided to present this tweet and I will be more careful in the future."
Holly Row also thanked Manning for his apology on Tuesday, stating, "I appreciate our conversation about this matter, which will remain private. The apology is accepted, and we will move forward with respect and kindness." Manning, 22, is in his final season at Texas and is recognized as a top prospect in the NFL.
